Intentional Creativity® Method

I guide heartfelt, spirited women like you, who want to connect with your innate creativity by helping to open a portal between heart, mind & soul with paint, words, and journey to your internal “wildish nature.”  We use Intentional Creativity® as a method, following a number of steps to reveal hidden messages from your feminine soul voice, a connection to your inner wisdom and knowledge. I love how this work creates deep change, allowing you to walk with a renewed sense of yourself and excited about the next stage of your life.

Having been an artist as long as I can remember, I pursued Studio Art as a major at Mary Washing College, now the University of Mary Washington, in Fredericksburg VA. I recently returned to my first love of painting and mixed media, and I work as an artist, teacher & coach using Intentional Creativity® as a method. As a creative coach specializing in art journaling techniques, I help guide women to find their passion in work, lifestyle, personal and business goal setting.

My ideal clients are women who want to connect to their inner wild nature of self expression and creativity. I help you access ways to create and expand your business with a unique approach, use fun & nurturing accountability to help you reach a new level, uncovering ways to find your life's work and create the positive environments to succeed with your goals.

I use a mindfulness method called Intentional Creativity® developed by artist & teacher Maestra Shiloh Sophia McCloud, as well as an expressive arts approach using paint, words, and movement. In our creative play dates, we may create paintings, visual goal journals, use art prompts along with affirmation cards and other inspirational artsy projects, creating environments which support the values and passions my clients, like you, can use to develop their life's work. You don't have to be an artist, you don't have to draw a straight line, and you don't have to have a creative bone in your body to work with me!

(Although you may find you are a little artsy, that I can't draw a straight line either, and we may discover there are many creative bones in your body.)

I hold workshops & sessions in painting, art journaling, vision boards, and creative business planning. Our Red Thread Circles are session that connect women and all people to each other in creative, healing, alchemical ways.

A native of Virginia, I worked in the real estate industry in a variety of roles, from web design and marketing to Production Manager of several local real estate magazines, and most recently as Marketing Director for Montague Miller & Co Realtors. I continue to work in graphic design, as well as managing the web, social media. I have been a web designer for over 20 years and consult on social media with small businesses.

Currently, I am an artist, teacher, and creative coach in the Intentional Creativity® method after graduating from Color of Woman in November 2016. Also, a 2011 graduate of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence in the Board Development Academy, I've been a volunteer with Quadruplicity, a yearly Charlottesville Chamber Women's Conference, as web designer for several years and social media promotions. I served as Board President of the FOCUS Women's Resource Center from 2009-2012 and my involvement in these organizations has been invaluable, both personally and professionally, with building a strong local network.

My personal activities include barefoot sailing trips with my best girl friends, whitewater paddling in rivers from Georgia to Canada on the East Coast, dancing and listening to local bands in the central Virginia area whenever there is an opportunity, to making art and camping with my granddaughter. I love to have friends and family often and visit my kids on the west coast in California and here in Virginia whenever I get the opportunity.
